Lake Murray is located just a few miles south of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Lake Murray with 67 miles of shoreline and 5,728  acres is spring fed, and is one of the clearest lakes in Oklahoma. There are plenty of enthusiastic visitors since the lake is located halfway between Oklahoma City and Dallas, just east of I-35.

  

Lake Murray is a very popular lake for both fishing and recreational activities. The fishing is excellent and is known for great smallmouth bass fishing. It is also a great lake for scuba diving, water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, and more! The area has golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, and  a special ATV area. Be sure to bring your camera and check out the great views from Tucker Tower.

Canadian Geese are usually looking for handouts from visitors and they hang around places near the water. For the hikers along the trails, you may even see deer, coyotes, and maybe a fox.

 

Lake Murray Marina is available for boat rentals, slip rentals, boat ramps, gas and supplies.

Martin's Landing has a boat ramp, campsites, camper parking, electricity, picnic area with grills, trash bins, restrooms, drinking water, showers and a dump station.

 

In the public recreational areas of Lake Murray, you will find boat ramps at: Buzzard Roost, Tipps Point, Elephant Rock, Duke Assigned Campground. Martin's Landing and Rock Tower.

Tucker Tower Nature Center - Sits on a point much like a lighthouse. It is located in governor Murray's summer retreat.
